What is predictive time tracking?
Predictive time tracking pre-fills the hours a person is likely to have worked, based on their roster and past weeks, and in some tools their calendar. The person confirms or corrects the suggestion instead of entering everything from scratch.
Why prediction beats empty forms
Most missing or late timesheets are not about bad intentions; filling in a blank form is just tedious, especially at the end of a long shift. When the app already knows the planned shift from 07:00 to 15:30, confirming takes one tap, and the worker only has to fix the exceptions, such as staying an hour longer.
Prediction works best where work is planned: rostered shifts and recurring placements. It is a suggestion, never an automatic timesheet. The worker stays responsible for the hours they submit, and corrections are kept.
Predictive time tracking in TimeTracking
TimeTracking suggests hours from the published roster and the worker's history; calendar connections for Google Calendar and Outlook are coming soon. Suggestions are shown in the mobile app and on the web, and the worker confirms, adjusts or rejects them. Predictive time tracking is part of the Pro plan (€3 per user per month).
