Time tracking for healthcare and home care
Care work runs on rosters, night shifts and visits at many addresses. TimeTracking helps care organisations record hours accurately, respect rest times and pay travel correctly, with as little admin as possible for the people giving care.
How care teams use TimeTracking
Plan the roster
Shifts and visits are planned with templates and published to the team, who see them in the app.
Confirm in one tap
Predicted hours from the roster are confirmed in one tap; deviations are corrected in seconds.
Approve and export
Team leads approve the period and hours, allowances and travel are exported to payroll.
Less admin for carers
Every minute spent on a timesheet is a minute not spent on care. Predictive time tracking uses the roster to propose each day's hours, so on a normal day confirming takes one tap. The in-app timer covers the moments when a visit runs longer than planned.
Shifts, nights and rest time
Night shifts across midnight are recorded as a single shift. The rule engine warns planners about rosters that would break rest-time rules, such as less than 11 hours between shifts, before the roster is published.
Irregular-hours allowances and other hour types can be mapped to your payroll codes in the export.
- Night shifts across midnight
- Rest-time warnings in the roster
- Hour types for allowances
- Leave and sick leave in the same system
Home care: travel between clients
In home care, travel time and kilometres between client visits are part of the job. They are recorded per visit and reimbursed according to your rates. Geofence nudges at client addresses are planned; when they arrive they will be optional and only used with the carer's permission.
TimeTracking records working time, not care data: no client health information is stored in the app.
Introducing it to the team
Care teams are diverse in age, language and comfort with technology. The apps use large buttons and clear language, are available in 20 languages, and support the phone's own text size settings. Carers who share a device at a location can use a kiosk tablet with a personal PIN instead.
Because location is optional and only used around configured addresses, and because no screenshots or activity data are collected, it is easier to explain the app to the team and to the works council.
- 20 languages and large text support
- Kiosk with PIN for shared devices
- No screenshots or activity monitoring
