Each term below is followed by its Dutch UI label, where one exists.

| Term | Dutch UI | Definition |
|---|---|---|
| **Organisation (org)** | Organisatie | The tenant. Every record, key and webhook belongs to exactly one org. |
| **Person** | Medewerker | Someone who works and records hours: an employee or flex worker (uitzendkracht). Identified for payroll by `employee_number` (personeelsnummer). |
| **Client** | Opdrachtgever / inlener | The company where the person works. |
| **Placement** | Plaatsing | One person working for one client from `starts_on` (until `ends_on`). Every hour is recorded on a placement. A person can have several. |
| **Claim** | Registratie | One raw hour record from one **source**. Claims are append-only. |
| **Source** | Bron | Where a claim came from: `app`, `kiosk`, `mail`, `import`, `manual_office`, `client_portal`, `predicted`. |
| **Day / timesheet day** | Dag / uren | The single resolved value per placement per date, derived from its claims. Days carry the status. |
| **Resolution** | — | How a day got its value: `auto_single_source`, `auto_match`, `office_choice`, `client_correction`, or `null` (empty or in conflict). |
| **Conflict** | Conflict | Two or more sources disagree beyond the tolerance. The day has no value until someone picks the winning claim. |
| **Tolerance** | Tolerantie | `totalToleranceMin` (default 0) and `clockToleranceMin` (default 15). Differences within them count as agreement. |
| **Status** | Status | `draft` → `submitted` → `approved` → `exported` → `locked`. |
| **Submit** | Indienen | Employee (or office on their behalf) offers a week's draft days for approval. |
| **Office approval** | Goedkeuren | Office approves submitted, conflict-free days. |
| **Approval mode** | Accordering | Per client: `office` (office approval is enough), `client` (the client's approval makes it approved), `both` (office and client must both approve). |
| **Client approval link / magic link** | Accordeerlink | A signed URL, valid for 14 days, where a client contact approves, corrects or rejects days without an account. |
| **Email code** | E-mailcode | A 6-digit code mailed to the client contact. When the client has a contact, the code is required before signing. |
| **Inbox** | Inbox urenstaten | Review list for client timesheets that arrive by email or upload. |
| **Quarantine** | Quarantaine | Inbound email from an unknown or unverified (no DMARC pass) sender. It is never processed automatically. |
| **Kiosk** | Kiosk | A shared tablet on site where workers clock in and out with a 6-digit PIN. |
| **Rule pack** | Regelset | JSON rules that split worked minutes into hour types (overtime, ORT/shift bands, holidays) and produce compliance warnings. |
| **Hour type** | Uursoort / looncomponent | A payroll category such as `normal`, `overtime_125`, `ort_night`, `holiday`, `leave_vacation`, `expense_km`. |
| **Pay line** | Looncomponentregel | One normalized line handed to the exporter: person × date × hour type × minutes (± amount). |
| **Export mapping** | Exportformaat | JSON recipe that turns pay lines into the exact CSV/TXT file a payroll system imports. |
| **Preset** | Voorinstelling | A built-in mapping: `preset-sdworx` (concept) and `preset-generic`. |
| **Export run** | Export | A committed, immutable export: file, content hash, pay lines and mapping snapshot. |
| **Commit** | Exporteren / definitief | Turn a preview into an export run. Included days become `exported`. Irreversible. |
| **Period lock** | Periode vergrendelen | Freeze a date range after export. Its days become `locked`. Irreversible. |
| **Payroll period** | Verloningsperiode | `week`, `four_weeks` (anchored on a Monday), `semi_month` or `month`. |
| **External ID** | Extern ID | `(external_source, external_ref)` on people, clients and placements, used for idempotent syncs from another system. |
| **Webhook** | Webhook | A signed HTTPS POST that TimeTracking sends when an event happens. |
| **API key** | API-sleutel | `tt_live_…` org credential with scope `read` or `read`+`write`. |
| **CLI (`tt`)** | — | Command-line client for the API. |
| **MCP server** | — | Model Context Protocol server that exposes TimeTracking tools to AI assistants. |
| **ATW** | Arbeidstijdenwet | Dutch Working Hours Act. It sets the default break and rest checks in the NL rule pack and the kiosk's automatic breaks. |
| **CAO** | Collectieve arbeidsovereenkomst | Collective labour agreement. Overtime and shift percentages come from it; align the rule pack with your CAO (ABU/NBBU or the client's). |
| **ORT** | Onregelmatigheidstoeslag | Irregular-hours allowance (evening, night, weekend bands). |
